Finished the small sketchbook

Finished my second mini travel sketchbook. The second half of the book are all drawings of scenes in NYC. Takes on average 20-30 minutes a drawing. This is the best way for me to capture the scene in front of me. By sitting down and taking a moment to myself.

Snorkeling in the Caribbean

A quick illustration based on a friends desire to go snorkeling in Puerto Rico. Unfortunately they never went, but still hoped to capture some of the magic they would have experienced.

Short Bday Trip to Puerto Rico

I just arrived back from Puerto Rico. It was a last minute gift to myself to spend a few days down on a tropical island. My brother tagged along as well as 2 of our pals. We explored rain forests, beaches, old cities, and also accidentally ended up in one of the most dangerous sections of the island (By pure dumb luck nothing happened). We also made some amazing new friends who completed the experience. I would have liked to have drawn more, but i was so busy enjoying everyone's company and roaming around that it just didn't happen. I'll definitely have to go back again to explore the further. Enjoy the sketches!

On average each drawing took 10 minutes or less.

Single Fare Metro Card Show

Took part in this years Single Fare Show in NYC. The goal of the show is to paint or draw something on Metrocards! I decided after many false starts to do a series on the construction of the major East River Crossings here in NYC. The show runs from February 13th to the 22nd (My Birthday!). For more information, go to www.single-fare.com.

Toulouse, France

It’s been a while since i have posted something. Here is a drawing of a street in France from a somewhat 45 degree angle. It was a study for another series of drawings i’m in the process of doing.

Edit: 2 Months almost since my last post? Yikes!

Broad Street Records Logo

Final

I was recently asked by a good friend to help design a new logo for Broad Street Records, which is located in Hamilton, New York. They promote music and culture at Colgate University, and in the surrounding area by hosting concerts, radio shows, and much more. The initial brief was "modern vintage". After a day or so of brainstorming and doodling everywhere, i had a bunch of ideas, of only which 2 made it to the final round. Eventually the top design was picked. The one below, which really fun to illustrate doesn't get the job done.
